Pieceful Quilting started in 2003 as an on line only business with the dream of one day becoming a brick and mortar Long Island Quilt Shop. For three years we “kept the day job” and ran the website and did vending at Quilt Shows on the weekends. Some years we did as many as 15 per year!

In February 2006 we opened our doors in a space that was formerly a quilt shop for the past 23 years. We radically changed the shop, giving it a bright new look. We expanded by about 500 feet and created a large classroom and had the joint jumpin’. So much so that in the second year we expanded another 1000 feet so that our shop is now 2500 square feet with over 3000 bolts of fabrics. We also began to sell sewing machines, first with Janome and then quickly followed by Bernina and Baby Lock.

In May 2009 we opened our second location in East Northport, which is about 45 minutes west of the orginal store. We have a spacious classroom and and equal number of bolts of fabrics, BUT the fabrics are different and the classes taught are different in each shop.

We no longer do so many quilt shows, as we have limited the road trips to Long Island only.

Take Northern State Parkway to Exit 42 NORTH (Deer Park Road/Park Avenue) As you exit the ramp, stay in the right lane to take the right fork which is East Deer Park Road (Route 66).

*** Deer Park Road East merges into Jericho Turnpike at Elwood Road. Stay on Jericho Turnpike for approximately ¼ mile. Pieceful Quilting is on the north side of Jericho, behind the Eye Department, just west of Verleye Avenue and 7-Eleven.

NORTHERN STATE PARKWAY FROM THE EAST:
Take Northern State Parkway to Exit 42 NORTH (Deer Park Road/Park Avenue) The exit ramp will take you behind the Dix Hills Fire Dept. to the intersection of DeForest Rd. and East Deer Park Rd. Make a right on East Deer Park Road. Follow directions from *** above.

FROM THE LONG ISLAND EXPRESSWAY:
Take the LIE to exit 51 NORTH (Deer Park Avenue-Rte. 231/Northport.) Follow Deer Park Ave. going north. Pass under the Northern State Parkway overpass. Get in the right lane at this point to follow the right to East Deer Park Road. Follow directions from *** above.

FROM THE SOUTH:
Take Route 231 (Deer Park Avenue) north. Pass under the Northern State Parkway overpass. Get in the right lane at this point to follow the right to East Deer Park Road. Follow directions from *** above.

FROM THE NORTH:
Take Elwood Road South. Make a left on Jericho Turnpike. Follow directions from *** above. OR Take Larkfield Road South. Make a right on Jericho Turnpike. Travel approximately ½ mile. Pieceful Quilting is on the north side of Jericho, behind the Eye Department, just west of Verleye Avenue and 7-Eleven.
